The “Dakota Pride” is a 1980 Bucyrus Erie 1570-W Dragline. This machine was built for the Knife River Coal Company to remove overburden from their coal deposit that sat adjacent to a mine- mouth power plant. The machine has mined on this same piece of land since new. For several years Westmoreland Mining has owned the mine and used the “Dakota Pride” for uncovering their deposit and more recently for reclamation work. The “Dakota Pride” would be a great asset to any mining fleet.

This dragline Is ready to move to a new home. This unit is a diesel powered machine powered by a 251 series ALCO motor. Motor has issues.

In 1978 Bucyrus Erie 380 W serial number 137848 was purchased new by Bill’s Coal in Oklahoma. From there this machine went to it’s current owners. The current owner took meticulous care of the machine utilizing it to excavate sand and gravel. The machine was retires after a new bucket ladder dredge was specifically designed to be used in their pit. This machine has been sitting for several years and the lack of wear shows how easy of a life it has had. The machine has a fresh ( immediately before retirement) 399 Cat V16 motor. This machine Is VERY nice and would make a great addition to any fleet.

This 500W Bucyrus Erie would make the perfect quarry machine. It will uncover limestone or dig sand and gravel from a lake. This machine has independent hoist and drag motors so there are no frictions. The owner would also entertain contract excavation with this unit. This machine was purchased by a company to utilize in underwater sand and gravel excavation about 15 years ago. The machine was dismantled and move to their shop location. Once at their shop they fixed any problems that were found including welding any cracks and replacing the bronze bushings in the crawlers. The machine was never utilized by the company and is now being sold. This machine is a very nice lower hour machine with minimal wear.

The “Prairie Queen” is a 1977 Bucyrus Erie 1570-W Dragline. This machine was built for the Manalta Coal Company to remove overburden from their coal deposit near Estevan, Canada. The machine began to be utilized less in the early 2000s when the mine began utilizing their new 9020 P&H dragline. This machine would be a great candidate for a move to continue life at a new site.
